Mr. George Brooks
Leader, Human Capital
Ernst & Young
725 S Figueroa St #500
Los Angeles, CA 90017
Dear Mr. Brooks:
Your advertisement for an administrative service and executive support assistant, appearing May
4 in the employment section of your company web site, caught my attention because of my
educational and business background that will help fill your companys needs.
Your advertisement claims that the job includes supporting the important business enablement
functions that keep our organization running strong. The job also includes the opportunity to
develop your career through a broad scope of engagements, mentoring and formal learning.
Previous business experiences have definitely given me the introduction of helping others whilst
developing my personal career goals at the same time. I have had experience in working as a
delivery person, communicating with doctors, lawyers, and other professionals in the Beverly
Hills area. I ensured that their needs and requests were satisfied as well as keeping an organized
schedule to get to them on time. Constantly assisting my manager at work with his need of
contacting customers and making sure their needs are satisfied, such as taking complaints and
fixing mistakes when orders are mixed up, is an action I am excellent at achieving. Not only am
I accustomed to helping others and being an assistant when needed, I also can take up a
leadership role when required by helping my co workers when they feel lost or stuck.
Numerous challenging business courses in Entrepreneurship, Accounting, and Financing
throughout my high school years at Downtown Magnets High School have given me the traits to
communicate and help assist in the needs of others. My business classes have also taught me the
fundamentals of business, how to create spreadsheets, how to analyze the financials of a
business, and how to communicate my ideas with others. I am currently attending business
classes at CSUNs David Nazarian School of Business and Economics to further my knowledge
and practice of business etiquette and practices. I have also handled cash and credit transactions
by cashiering at a local restaurant near Downtown Los Angeles. I effectively communicated
with customers and generated sales for the local restaurant I worked for, Central Kitchen at the
Lorenzo. My experience as a cashier in my current occupation has taught me not only to handle
the income of a business, but also how to communicate with customers, make recommendations,
and ensure the satisfaction of each person who walks through our doors.

After you have examined the enclosed rsum for details of my skills and qualifications, I would
be happy to answer any questions you may have. Please call me at (213) 284-6391 to arrange a
meeting and interview during your schedule to discuss how my communication, accounting, and
assistance skills can contribute to your needs of a young employee and excellent communicator
who will promote growth at Ernst & Young.
Sincerely,
Wilmer Martinez
