Motives
Norma must have wanted Captain Cornball dead for the affair with his aunt, Nina
Norma Nannys aunt Nina had an affair with Thomas Sandstone (aka Captain Cornball) when
she was 19 years old
Thomas Sandstone is Captain Cornball because they are both said to have multiple children
and both have mysteriously disappeared multiple times
Captain Cornball has a fake story saying he was released from prison and changed his name,
but he is trying to cover up his real identity
The affair resulted in a child named Nadia who was kidnapped and murdered when she was 3
DNA Sequence
Norma Nannys DNA sequence matches one of the given 2 off of the crime scene
and the other matches Captain Cornball.
Theresa Thyme and Fred Fleckstone's sequences also match but they havent been
matched up with any DNA fingerprints or an ink match so it is highly unlikely
they committed the crime.
DNA Fingerprinting
Also Norma Nannys DNA fingerprint matches one of the 2 samples off the crime
scene while Captain Cornball's matches the other again.
Sam Stubs DNA fingerprint matches Captain Cornballs but one of the 2 samples
has to be Captain Cornballs since he was murdered.
Which eliminates Sam Stubs as suspect
Two different blood types found at crime scene (Blood type A & O)
Captain has O blood which matches the crime scene
Eliminates Fred Fleck Stone b.c. he has O blood type, did not have an ink match,
DNA fingerprints, or regular fingerprints
Sam Stubs blood type is also O also had matching pen type but unable to be him
b.c. the O blood has to be Captains
Theresa Thyme & Greg Glendora has type A blood which is other found at crime
scene but their ink, DNA fingerprints, and regular fingerprints were not a match
Leaves Norma Nanny as the only one whos blood type is A and her ink was a match
leads us to believe the she was the murderer

Blood Typing
Chromatography
There was a letter that had the ink of the killer on it.
There were 3 choices of pens.
We put a dot from each pen on slits of chromatography paper and put them in a
beaker with concentrated alcohol.
The alcohol would be absorbed into the paper going through the ink, causing it to
bleed.
After chromatography each ink releases a different pattern.
One released red and yellow, black out of another, and nothing out of the third.
The Crayola pen that had red and yellow pulled from its ink was a match.
Norma Nanny and Sam Stubs both owned the Crayola pen, but Sam Stubs blood
type is O which makes him no longer a suspect.
Fingerprinting
Gel ELectrophoresis
We took samples of DNA from the possible convicts and injected them into an agar
gels
We then hooked the agar gels up to a power supply to run electricity through the
samples
This shifted and spread the DNA through the agar gel.
Fluorescent tags in the DNA make a fingerprint which can be compared to the
DNA found on the crime scene.
Represents different lengths of DNA in certain regions of the genome that vary
between individuals
CLOSING ARGUMENT
Norma Nanny through multiple different sources of evidence is the most likely
suspect to convict
Her blood type, DNA sequence, DNA fingerprint, and pen chromatography found
from the note all matched
Lastly, her aunt, Nina, had an affair with Captain Cornball which resulted in the
kidnapping and death of their daughter, and Normas cousin, when she was 3
