Skills/Academic Achievement:
Speaking English, Spanish and French fluently/proficiently
Skill level: Intermediate
I have always seen a great advantage in learning languages, for they represent gateways to seeing the
world in more different ways and can open so many opportunities to anyone worldwide, for it gets
more diverse everyday. I feel quite lucky to have been raised bilingual but I knew persevering to be
trilingual in the future can help me even more in life, because society has come to see multilingual
people as invaluable to interact with others in other countries and cultures. I have always come upon
times where my mom has needed an interpreter when there was none and I had to adjust to that role
for her but I am grateful to be able to have opportunities to use my multi-faceted background for her
and I hope to use my new language more quite soon to help others as well when needed in any place.

Volunteer Service:
Library Aid
Twinbrook Public Library, 202 Meadow Hall Dr, Rockville, MD 20851
Started/Ended: June, 2013 - August, 2013, June, 2014- August, 2014
Grades: 9,10
For two days every week in the summer, I would help sort out books to be shelved by pages, replace
ruined barcodes on books, alphabetize them, and all kinds of other maintenance for the library. But
most importantly, volunteers would have to sign up children for the summer reading program that all
Montgomery County public libraries have participated in and this task greatly helped me to interact
more with people and use my sparse customer service skills to better help them and improve my social
capabilities a bit more.

Work Experience:
Courtesy Clerk
Safeway, Twinbrook Shopping Center, 1902 Veirs Mill Rd, Rockville, MD 20851
Started: June, 2015- November, 2015
I helped with anything that needed to be done and assisted customers to the best of my ability.
