Int. ChurchThe word Religion appears on the ceiling of a church but the
screen swipes from left to right to move on to a different church
ceiling and then another and another till it ends with the sky,
this is happening during this speech.

NARRATOR:
Religion, a word that causes controversy at every turn, but where
did it come from? The answer is quite simply, humans, no other
lifeforms on our planet have religion except us. No matter what
your view is on religion, whether you believe what it states is
true or false, it is a fact that humans created it, we created the
faith to follow and to be loyal to, but its when discussing how it
was created that perplexity emerges; weather it was invented to
worship the god they believe to be helping them or whether it was
invented by the rich to manipulate the poor and less intelligent
to keep them under control. Which I suppose evokes the most
contentious of questions; is religion good or bad?
A short animation of a human and a rat appears on the field
landscape and this speech goes on
As time has progressed religion has evolved parallel to humanity;
like a rat it has learnt to live in harmony along side us and feed
off our naivety. But as the past has shown sometimes these rats
can become diseased and corrupt outgrowing our race and start
running our lives, taking control of who we are as a person.

NARRATOR
If everyone was to follow the same religion and beliefs, war would
be nonexistent, as no-one would have anything to disagree on. On
its own religion could be one of the most powerful and helpful
things man has ever created, bring unity, justice and a sense of
belonging. Giving individuals something to be a part of and
respected for. Helping those of a weaker nature strengthen their
mind as they feel someone is looking out for them, giving children
a community to grow up and learn in, teaching people the way of
life and what being kind and respectful can do; helping, the
world. But the question is when does help be come restraint and
helping become restricting?

NARRATOR
Blame; to declare that someone or something is responsible for a
fault or wrong. Humans are the bearers of religion we hold on as
tight as we solely choose. As humans we are both capable of good
and bad, the right choice or the wrong choice. Yes religion can
influence the choices we make but arent we responsible for the
final decision? If someone is prosecuted for manslaughter the
parents arent punished for the way they raised them, or should
they be? but then who is responsible for them? Like money religion
creates, power, help and conflict but money isnt to blame for
bank robberies the individuals or group that committed the crime
are, you dont say that mugging that down the road happened
because of the money, you blame the offender, so why do we blame
religion?

NARRATOR
The perspective in which you wish to accept the gift of life
inaugurates the policy in which you stand by. If you are in a
forest you can only see whats in front of you as your view is
restricted, you know nothing beyond what you can see, where as if
you are in an open field you can see whats around you and see
where each path takes you, these different perspectives cause you
to interpret the complicated form of life differently, but can
perspectives be wrong? An open field allows all paths to be
visible, nothing is off limits you can go any which way you choose
and yes this freedom allows for individual expression but too much
freedom or choice can cause decisiveness and confusion and the
forest can provide shelter from this, creating a structure on
which you can stand and follow its path. You are not conscious of
which perspectives you choose, its a subliminal choices you make,
as all outcomes are devised by a series of individual choices.
Religion is a spectacle of admiration and aversion, success and
disappointment, good and bad; be we are the foreseers of its
future, we are religion, so the real question that should be asked
is
are you good or bad?
