TheIssue
Recently,moreandmorepublichighschoolshavesetasidefundsdedicatedto
supportingfineartsprograms.Thisisduetothereleaseofevidencesupportingthestatementthat
artclassesproducewellroundedstudents,whoaremorelikelytosucceedacademically
(Ruppert,2006).However,theoveralleffectivenessofthesecoursesisstronglydependantupon
thewayinwhichtheyaretaught.Highschoolartteachersaroundthecountryhavedebated
whichmethodologyismostsuccessfulsincetherebirthofseriousarteducationintheearly

Thepredicamentathandisthatnooneiscertainwhichteachingmethodologyallows
studentsthegreatestpotentialforsuccess.Inordertoaddressthis,researchershaveassessed

Itisvitalthattheresultsofthisresearchbesynthesized,sothatteachersmaybecomeeducated
ontheeffectivityofnumerousdifferentmethodologiesofartinstruction.Withthisknowledge,
thesecoursesmaythenbetaughtinamannerthatallowsstudentsthegreatestpotentialfor

TheSolution
Afterathoroughanalysisofmanydifferentstudiesconductedbetweentheyearsof2009
