Principal Teacher Evaluation Report Interim Certification Temporary Probationary _X_ Continuous _ Teacher Holding interim Certification, Probationary or Temporary Contract ‘Second Evaluation Part 2 4. Introduction This Is the third evaluation report on Amanda Morrison. Two comprehensive reports, dated 2015/11/10 and 2016/03/22, constitute the initial and second evaluations of Amanda Morrison. 2. Changes and Growth Throughout the Year ‘Amanda began the school year at St, Patrick Catholic School as a second year returning teacher. She came back to St. Patrick with an eagemess and passion to succeed and that she demonstrated very well ‘over the course of the school year. Amanda's preparation, including her long range planning, ‘choice of essential question and strong organizational skills quickly drew my eye to her love of children and love of learning. Her strong classroom management skills were quickly evident with her class of 24 students as by the third week of September, Amanda had already established a’strong relationship with each of her students and her class routines were evident as the students were quickly focused into the subject areas of each part of their school day. Over the year, this foundation served her well as she moved into multiple groupings for various subject areas in her own class and also with other classes in the school. Great work ‘Amanda, it has been joy to see you bloom here this year. Page 1 & ; ‘TY Catholie Schools its ae ate 3, Areas for Continued Growth and Development ‘When | completed Amanda's first round of evaluation observations, | had some concerns, about her as a 21™ Century Learner and working with cross curricular subject areas. While I dd not sense that she was not a capable teacher, | did not see much evidence yet of trying to integrate themes andlor ‘outcomes in her core curriculum subject areas. | gave Amanda some information, support and direction of both persons and resources to help her in this area and a recommended date for this improvement to happen ‘Amanda immediately began researching and implementing these ideas and along with the help of Christie Watson, began demonstrating and using cross curricular planning ideas and student group work strategies in her every day classroom practice. This significantly helped Amanda's student engagement and information/data she was looking for in her assessment activities and also demonstrated to me that she was becoming an excellent teacher in our district. By the time 1 completed my second round of observations, Amanda was demonstrating to me that she had now met all the KSA’s required of our probationary teachers, have no doubt in my mind that Amanda will soon be recognized as one of our lead exemplary teachers in terms of her planning, excitement and passion for working with students in cross- curricular subject areas and using innovative technology to increase student leaming. My personal recommendation for Amanda is that she pursues more work now in the area of project based learning. This is a relatively new approach in ‘our district and one in which I see Amanda growing as both a leamer and teacher in our Catholic school district, All the best fo you Amanda, | believe you will do very well in anything you decide to take on.
