    forhumanstoacquiresomerestrictions?Therearemanyconcernsandcontradictionswhile
    dealingwiththemattersofanimalsandtheirrights.
    Theideaofallanimalsreceivingabillofrightsmayseemquiteabsurd.Mankindwill
    nevercometoanagreementwhendealingwiththerightsforanimals.Somemaythinkanimals
    shouldhavethesamerightsashumans,andothersmaynotevencareif20,000cowsgetbrutally
    slaughteredtomorrow.Sowheredoeseveryonecomeintoanagreement?Truthis,therewill
    neverbeanagreement.Thebestoptiontopleasingeveryoneistocomedowntothemedianof
    thesituation.
    Somephilosophersandanimalbehavioristshavelongarguedthattheotheranimalsare
    notcapableofselfawarenessbecausetheylackasenseofindividualism(Rifkin).Itisproven
    thatalotofanimalsdonothaveselfawareness,thereforegivingajustificationfortheanimals
    thatcannotnecessarilyfeel.Whenyouhearsomethinglikethis,itmakesiteasierforyouto
    bearthethoughtofananimalgettingkilledoranythingwithinthosematters.
    Itiseasyforhumanstothinkofanimalsdyingforfoodorwhateverthecasemaybe,but
    impossibleforsometobearthethoughtofanimalsbeingtortured.Beingslaughteredand
    torturedaretotalopposites.Itisonethingtokillananimalforfood,butanothertositthereand

    Peopleneedtorealizethatwesharethisworldwithmanycreaturesdeservingofour
    careandrespect(Frazier).Animalsarenotirrelevanttonature,theyaremajorcomponentsto
    nature.Theyliveonthisearthjustasmuchashumansdo.Itishumanitysjob,beingthemore
    intelligentones,torespecttheanimalsandtheirhabitats.Natureshouldbeleftaloneatallcosts.
    Throughmanystudies,ithasbeenproventhatnonhumananimalshaveemotionsand
    feelings(Braithwaite).Ifmurderingahumanandtorturingthemiswrong,thenwhywoulditbe
    justifiedforananimal?LikeBraithwaitehadstated,animalshavefeelingsandemotions.Tonot
    careaboutthewellbeingofsomethingcapableofloveandemotionisabitlow.Although
    Braithwaitehassaidthatanimalsarecapableofthesefeelings,thatdoesnotdirecttoALL
    animals.
    Ifallanimalsweretoreceiveabillofrights,therewouldbemanycontradictions.Would
    peoplebegettingarrestedforswattingafly?Peoplewouldhavetotakeintoconsiderationofthe
    extentofthislaw.Itissodiverse,theywouldneedtomakethisassimpleaspossibletoavoida
    bitofchaos.Therewouldneedtobeavoteonwhichanimalsareworthyofescapingdeath.
    Intheend,humanityhastheirownopinionaboutanimalsandtheircircumstances.No
    onewilleveragreeononesubject.Somemayfeelthatanimalsdeservealltherightstheycould
    get,whileothersbelievethatkillinganimalsoreventorturedoesnotmatterorconcernthem
    unlessithasaffectedthem.
    So,doanimalsdeserveabillofrights?Doesthereneedtoberestrictions?Thecorrect
    answerisboth.Americashouldbebettereducatedontheimportanceoflifeandhoweach

    individualanimalhasapurposeforbeingonthisearth.Yes,animalsshouldgainatleastsome
    rightsthatarenecessary,butnoneofthiswouldbeanissueifhumankinddidnotlack
    compassionforinnocentlife.Unfortunately,compassionissomethingabillofrightscannot
    solve.
