Dear People,
I am writing in this column after about 8 years. Eight
years ago I was a fresh seminary graduate and had a
lot of expectations from my own self and also from
the Church ministry right here at Grace Bible Church.
Because GBC is my mother Church and I am also a
founder-member, I thought that the ride would be a
smooth one. I was wrong. I happened to take many
things for granted and had to be reprimanded for the
same. Whereas I was of the view that flexibility in
methodology would help us move forward, the elders
had a more cautious approach. In the midst of these
conflicts, I decided to quit and move on where I could
prove more useful.
The next 2 years I worked in an orphanage in
Uttarakhand. It was a humbling experience for me and
I got ample time to learn that the guidance of elders
in ministry is not expendable.
We returned to Lucknow in July 2010 and since then I
had been assisting in the ministry of GBC under the
guidance of the pastors. March 2013 onwards, the
most unexpected tragedy took place when my wife
Cindy decided to leave along with our son Ethan. Since
then, my life has undergone a lot of changes.
Thankfully, the Lord has implanted enough
faith that till today, I know and believe that even in
this situation of utter despair, He is with me. He has
made me more sensitive to people in need, and less
demanding in my own life. The grace of God is much
bigger than the sorrows caused by the fallen nature of
man.
As I re-join the pastoral team of GBC, I am
indebted to God for finding me worthy of service, still.
I still believe in flexibility of operations. Whereas our
core beliefs and faith are not flexible, yet the way we
connect as a church with the outside world is flexible.
Let us continue to recall and apply the new year goals
that I had proposed on January 1.
We are accountable to God for being/not

being in church. We are accountable to God for

participating/not participating in prayer meetings.
Grace Bible Church can be useful to the spiritually
needy people only as much as the members come
forward and join their hearts and hands in all the
endeavors of the church. God has blessed us with a
lot of talent. Lets move forward and use all our
resources for Gods glory.

came to Lucknow for treatment.
Bunny Philip had backache.
Manohar Lugans mother is undergoing treatment for her eye problem.
Poonam Modwell had frozen shoulder.
Poonam Modwells sister Vinita Singh is in
Lucknow for treatment.
Sunita from Barabanki was not keeping well.
Roshini & Pastor. Kuruvilla Chandy are
moving to Trivandrum.
