(This is a shared document for the FRINQ student to work with who are writer/presenters.

Please
assign sections for them to work on. Descriptions of what should be in each section is below. I
will provide some background documents on D2L News Items, which we had reviewed last term
that they can use as background. These documents may be helpful for those who are writing for
this report. This report should be written in APA style, with references cited and listed at the end
of the report on a reference page. Pictures, graphs and charts can be added. I have some photos
that Hannah took of the virtual meeting. The presentation should follow the same format and
have at least 15 slides or more.)

Introduction (This section should be at least 1 page and should set up the reasons why research
on Cardiac Arrest education is important and briefly state the role of this evaluation in the
research underway. Make sure to include partners involved. Use information provided by U of W
if needed to help explain this. )
Background (This section should be at least 2 pages and should explain the background on the
program evaluation that is taking place including the preparation that the students have gone
through. It should include brief descriptions of the following information:
Fall Term - Human Subjects Research (informed consent certificates - NIH); explain why this
was important.
Winter Term - Online Program Evaluation Module Certificate - Northwest Center for Public
Health Practice at University of Washington; explain why this was important.
Winter Term - Survey Development - Learned some basic information about how to develop
survey questions, worked to develop questions that were included in the survey.
Winter Term - Student Learning (Cardiac Arrest vs. Heart Attack) - Student learning on this issue
including class simulation.
Winter Term - Joint virtual session with U of W students to understand more about their research
and PSU students role.
Spring Term - Phone Surveying - Contacted (XX) participants from a sample provided by King
County in Seattle, Washington for the survey work. Spent (XX) hours working on this.
Spring Term - Data/Spreadsheet - Input data collected into a spreadsheet built by the students.

Spring Term - Analysis - Student analysis of data collected - basic math calculations.
Spring Term - Writing/Presenting - Research Report written and Presentation developed for
sharing with student partners.
Review of Literature (Use U of W work on this - See documents on D2L. Write at least 3 pages
summarizing some of the key resources provided.)
Methods (This section explains how we are doing the program review. Dig a little more deeply
into the items listed in Section #2. Explain in more depth how the review is taking place. This
should be at least 2 pages).
Analysis (This section will explain what information the data analysts came up with after
reviewing the results of the survey work. This section should fully explain the analysis and
include some graphs/charts showing the data collected. This should be at least 2 pages.)
Recommendations (This section will provide recommendations related to the data analysis. This
could be such items as a broader, longer survey needs to take place, changes perhaps suggested
in the outreach that is taking place, etc. This section should be at least 1 page.)
Summary (This section will summarize the report and provide a quick recap of highlights. It
should be at least 1 page.)
References (At least 10 references should be listed. All references listed should be cited
somewhere within the research report. At least one page for references).

Total pages for Research Report: 12 pages for the report (plus 1 page for references).
Total slides for Presentation: 15 slides (minimum) plus one page for references.

Draft of these should be completed by May 20.
