Mission and Vision Statement:

Mission Statement: To empower and motivate youth from lowincome backgrounds to connect and work within the community,
and discover abilities about themselves through beneficial learning.

Vision: To see youth from low-income backgrounds get jobs and

learn skills thatll help them in the real world/ in the future over a
6th month period.

SMART Goals
Help kids develop skills, such as interview skills,
they can use in real life
Offer jobs to 15-18 year kids from low-income
backgrounds
Provide services such as tutoring and extra
curriculum classes

Programs:
Mock interviews, writing classes, How to apply
for a Job, teacher training, intensive when one
has completed the program and successfully
after a 6 week course.

Youth are on the street day to

Action
Open an nonprofit youth center
called Live, Love Laugh Institute. I
will have a mock interview course
to help students get lessons on
how to properly enter/prepare for
an interview. Also have multiple
programs that will benefit the
youth and help them stay off the
streets.

Outcome

To see the low income youth

able to get jobs and work for
the betterment of their

Community Event
The staff and I will host a block party raising awareness
for kids not doing things after school. The annual block
party will be held at Payne Park in Pawtucket, Rhode
Island. Parents, kids, mentors, literally everybody that is
affiliated with any of the cities in Rhode Island are
welcomed to come. We will also be accepting donations
to our nonprofit and handing out knick knacks, snacks,
and of course we will be playing music.

Evaluation Plan: How will you know if

you are making progress towards your
goals?
We plan to give out a survey in the beginning of the
program (pretest). Then, we give out a survey at the end
of the program (post test). By this we will be able to see
the difference between the children and their progress
they have made. Our survey would include information
about how the students liked the program, how the
students thought the teachers were, etc.
