Craig Rizzi

Entry Plan
Overarching Goal: To collect a significant amount of data from all stakeholders in
the school so that I can help to make informed, intelligent decisions with the
teachers, support staff, and administrative team.

Timeline

Actions

Weeks 1 and 2

Make appointments with all teachers and support staff

to meet for ten minutes on their conference hour so
that I can:
Learn about their background and history with
the school
Learn about their experiences, goals, and unique
skill sets
Answer any questions they might have about my
experiences in education
Offer multiple opportunities for coffee with the
assistant principal or lunch meetings so that I can:
Introduce myself to members of the parent
community
Learn about parents hopes, expectations, and
dreams for their childs school
Develop a positive relationship with the parent
community
Chat informally with students during lunch and in the
hallways so that I can:
Learn about their experiences in the school, both
positive and negative
Learn about ideas that they have to improve
their experience in school
After focusing attention on building-level policies and
procedures, develop professional connections with
other building- and district-level administrators in
order to create a learning network that allows us to
safely and efficiently collaborate and share ideas
Help teachers identify personal areas of
improvement in their teaching through selfreflection in teacher evaluations
Develop an instructional leadership team made
up of teachers who volunteer to help create
meaningful professional learning experiences
for the teaching staff
