In my experience with academic instruction, clients, and personal observations, nutrition

and wellness are the accumulation of consistent healthy lifestyle decisions. These
decisions shape the state of our bodies and thereby create our health foundation for the
rest our lives. (Awkward sounding is my middle name. Now I am starting to hate this
sentence so let me know if this version is a little clearer or less awkward. Aagaghhh!!!)
For example, a healthy foundation can provide us with a calming energy, mental clarity,
and greater awareness of our environment. However, an unhealthy foundation can lead to
agitated energy levels, mental fatigue, and less appreciation of our environment.
Consequently, it is therefore understandable that research demonstrates that the majority
of life debilitating diseases and degenerative conditions are simply the result of years of
inattentiveness. Some of this inattention understandably arises from sensational news
articles, cultural myths, and conflicting public policies which can further confuse and
misinform the public. In addition holidays, travel, school, and work schedules can also
wreak havoc on our eating decisions until we compromise our need of nutritive food for
convenience. Therefore, refining healthy decision making by seeking and providing
research based and practical solutions are, for me, lifelong goals and important
components of a healthy balanced life.
