1.) What were the business problems facing MHE? How did they relate to its
existing older systems?
Answer: MHE a small business that sells forklifts, cranes and related
machineries faces many challenges such as shrinking market and large
competitors moving into its market space, reducing prices and revenue
streams. As MHE expanded, cost rose dramatically in part due to the
absence of an efficient management system for keeping track of inventory
parts and service contracts with customers.
2.) What were the advantages of working with SAPs Business One?
Answer: SAP Business one helps the company keep tracks of customers,
parts, new inventory orders and deliveries. Sap business one comes with a
number of built in business functions such as database that was integrated to
the organizations financial system, warehouse production , and customer
relation reports.
3.) Why did the new ERP system give the company a competitive advantage?
Answer: The advantages of ERP system solution assist companies in different
levels of providing support for sales, customer relationship, inventory
operations, financials and human resources. Likewise, the system was able to
help forecast the supply and demand as reinforcement for their strategic
advantage
4.) What was the impact of the ERP system on corporate costs and revenues?
Answer: Using SAP Business One ERP system, the company was able to
reduce cost , increase revenues and profit margins due to the existence of an
efficient management system for keeping track of inventory parts and service
contracts with customers.
5.) What new revenue generating service was MHE able to provide to its
customers? Why did MHE develop a customer portal?
Answer: When SAP business one solution was implemented to both MHE and
the customers system, it was able to manage customer relations through sales
and post-sales support. Purchasing (from purchase orders to vendor invoices)
and management reports. MHE develop a customer portal to assist customers
and answer their inquiries to improve customer client relations.
