    becauseitmademeimitatehowtheycompletedtheirpieces.Wefollowedthesame
    stepsastheCatadoresdidanditcameouttobesimilartotheirPicturesofGarbage.
    MyperspectiveoncontemporaryartworkchangedbecausebeforeIactuallygottolearn
    moreaboutit,Ineverknewhowdeepsomeofthecontemporaryartworkshavewithin
    them.Itsmorethanjustapaintingorsculpture.SomecreativeprocessesthatVikwent
    throughthatwassimilartomyownwaspickingthecertainindividualsthathefoundthat
    fitthepurposeofhisprojectinthefirstplace.Also,inthemovie,hemadethe
    Catadoresobtainthepiecesofgarbage.Similartowhatwedid,excepttheywerent
    fromalandfill.

    Dignity,Honesty)Reflectonboththecreationofthecollageandyourportrait.
    Howdoes
    yourthemecaptureorexplainthemthemeofyourpiece?Howdoyouthinkastrangermay
    interpretyourartwork?Why?

    TheartworkIcreatedconnectstotheoverallthemeofmyworkbecauseittiesbackto

    pride.ThecreationofmycollagetiesbacktothethemeofpridebecauseIchose
    cutoutsofcertainthingsthatIlikeandItakepridein.Also,thegarbagethatI
    incorporatedinmycollageshowedmyaccomplishmentsthatI,again,takepridein.For
    example,myReportCardfromQuarter1hadoutstandinggradesandshowingmyclass
    rankiswhatIadmire.Themakingofmyportraitconnectedbacktopridebecausethe
    poseoftheindividualshowsconfidenceandpride.Ithinkastrangerwouldinterpretmy
    artworkdifferentlybecausetheydontquiteknowexactlywhatthecertainviewpointof
    theprojectwas.IfIweretoexplainthegistoftheproject,theywouldmostlikely

    interpretmyartworkintherightway.Therewillbemanydifferentinterpretationsthatmy
    artworkwillget.

    Usingthe
    portraitconstruction
    rubricand
    layout
    rubricasaguidelineassessthestrengths
    andweaknessesofyourfinalwork.Assessyourworkusingthestandardstohelpdescribe
    yourartwork.

    Wheredoyoumeasureintherubric?Howcanyouusespecificwordsfromthat
    standardtodescribeyourpiece?

    Thestrengthsofmyfinalwork,basedontherubric,isthatIdidawelljobinmy
    Craftsmanshipstandardbecausemyportraitprojectshowsmywellunderstandingof
    thematerial.Also,Imadethisprojectusingline,shape,andcontoursofthefacethat
    werecapturedintheportraitpicture.AnotherstrengthwasthatIfoundaminimum
    amountoffoundobjectsandincorporateditintomyportrait.Someofmyweaknesses
    werethatIdidnotexceedstandardsandbringin11ormoreobjects.Also,Ididnot
    quiteemphasistheobjectsasthefocalpointasmuch.IwouldsaythatIwouldgeta
    meetsinbothstandardslookingatmyportrait.
