ASBURY PARK - For months, Lakayla


Crumes tossed in her bed, counting gunshots instead of sheep.
It was the same for her neighbor, Shenise
Bellamy, 24. The memories of what happened
June 16, 2015 the day Neptune Police Sgt. Philip Seidle gunned down his ex-wife, Tamara Wilson-Seidle, 51, just feet from Bellamys front
porch replayed in her mind in a continuous
loop, keeping her awake until 3, 4 oclock in the
morning, she said.
Its like when I close my eyes, I see her
face, Bellamy explained.
A health aide at a local nursing home, she
eventually asked to be switched to the overnight shift. If she couldnt sleep, she reasoned,

she might as well work.


It was months before she could bear to sit on
her front porch again, she said.
Nearly a year has passed since Seidle, 52,
turned an ordinary, drowsy morning on Sewell
Avenue into a recurring nightmare.

ASBURY PARK - Nearly a year after the


street-side killing of Tamara Wilson-Seidle by
her ex-husband and Neptune police officer, the
public remains in the dark about how a cop with
a violent temper and a history of domestic violence calls to his home managed to have his service weapon returned to him following a suspension.
On June 16, 2015, the off-duty Sgt. Philip Seidle rammed his ex-wifes car with his Honda Pilot, jumped out and fired a volley into the driverside window from his .40-caliber police-issued
Glock handgun. As police surrounded him, they
