Interface for AddFEM Turbine Controls
Optimized Turbine Control interface
12 analog inputs (6 can be used as current inputs
and 6 optionally as current or voltage inputs)
8 analog outputs
12 digital inputs DI / 3 counting pulse inputs for
speed detection
16 digital outputs DO (can also be used as DI)
In addition to the measuring ranges of 0 - 20 mA,
4 - 20 mA and 20 mA, common for current inputs
and outputs, a range of 50 mA is also available
Analog and digital outputs are resistant to
sustained short circuits. All outputs are monitored
and can be connected in parallel with other
outputs
Connection to host with time-optimized Profibus
DP performance for closed loop control and
arithmetic operations
6 mS throughput
Redundant Configuration Standard

Global Operations
Multiple units remote control and monitoring from remote control room
Automatic switch from droop to isochronous (island) load control on tie
breaker opening. Units will share load based on the following:
Units on manual load control will remain on manual.
Units on automatic load control will share participation equally
Units will share load based on AGC load demand and PMS dynamic
breaking signal. Again; units set on manual load control will require operator
intervention to change to automatic.
Tie load limiting
Receive and execute dynamic breaking signals
10,000 point PI historian and licensing embedded T3000 historian and
logging function
PI to PI exchange with plant wide PI server
Same tag names as existing
Time synchronization to GPS in control room
DTS included; Mark V (newer GE Speedtronics systems can also be
integrated)
