Annual
Picnic, Plant Exchange and Bird Walk
Report
Date:
Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 6:00 p.m.
Location:
Lagoon Picnic Area, Valley Parkway, between Cedar Point Road
A picnic Tuesday evening June 7, 2016 ended Western Cuyahoga Audubon's program year. The
group enjoyed pleasantly cool weather, good company and 37 species on the bird walk. Many
beautiful and interesting plants got a "forever home," including lovely native Cardinal Flowers, some
heirloom roses, ferns, Forget-me-nots and a few pretty mystery species. Thanks to Don Howell, the
charcoal was hot and glowing in time for grilling dinner.
