I could see it was tough for
Harry to get anything going and
when he didnt strike in the ninth I
knew I had the match, Weber
said.
For Weber, who ranks fifth on
the all-time PBA Tour titles list
with 37 wins and has won a
record-tying 10 PBA Tour majors,
he ranked his win among his top
accomplishments in a professional
career that spans more than three
decades.
Its way up there as far as anything Ive done in my career, said
the 53-year-old Weber. I just do
whatever I can do to win and thats
the way it has been my entire
career. Like Ive said many times,
winning never gets old.
Weber began the 2016 season
with a fourth-place finish in the
Pasco County Florida Open and
then won the UnitedHealthcare
Sun Bowl In The Villages, PBA50
Mooresville Ford Open and
Johnny Petraglia BVL Open prior

HOWELL, NJ - In the Hankel Classic, Anthony Gubitosi Jr. started with
a 290 High Game of the Night and a 203 and 233 for High series of the
Hankel League 726. Two more 700s were fired by Gary Toth 723, and
Ryan Briehof 716 including a 279 game. Mike Fogarty 268, Michael
Blum 267, and Kevin Lagravenis 267. Leslie Bohn bowled a 630 including a 220 game.
Bowler of the month as usual was really competitive with several top
bowlers cracking 220 plus average for the month. In the spirit of ensuring a new bowler each month, the top four were Michael Blum, Joe
Musolino, Mike Valanzano, and Chris Nicholsen. Mike Valanzano had
two 700 series and high total pinfall to edge out the others. Joe Musolino
had a 289 and a 699 series and five of 12 games 225 or better. His stellar lead-off performance really tightened up the League standings and
paced Howell lanes to a 9-0 sweep.
