Autobiography

My name is Megel Joshua F. Ramiterre and I am 16-years old. I was born on

November of 1998 in Ramos, Tarlac. I am the first son of Rogel and Marietta Ramiterre
and we lived happily along with my younger brother in Guimba, Nueva Ecija.
I grew up in Galvan, a barangay in Guimba, where our relatives also live. I
started my elementary schooling in Eulogio R. Dizon College of Nueva Ecija (ERDCNE)
former (Corregidor College) and graduated last March 2010 as the Salutatorian. I
continue my studies in Bartolome Sangalang National High School (BSNHS) not just a
regular student but a Special Science Curriculum (SSC) student. After many years of
hardships, last March 2014 Ive just graduated as the 6 th honorable mention.
Long time ago, way back when I was just an elementary student, people around
me always ask the meaning of my first name. Even I search on the internet, I have
never found the meaning of Megel and so I asked my parents what does my name
means and why they named me as that. And they answered that my name comes from
a character in the Bible, Michael (for English translation) or Miguel (for Filipino
translation) which means Like God. They reassemble it to make it more unique, and
Voila!!! Megel is formed. The other name of mine, Joshua, is also a character from
the bible and it means God is salvation.
As I continue travelling and joining my friends, they are calling me in different pet
names, such as Meggy, which results from Piggy + Megel and Meg(s)/(z), which is
from my original name Megel with -el omitted and substituted by s/z, and the rest of
the people just call me Megel.
Presently, I am now a first year student in Central Luzon State University taking
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Hopefully Ill be a sophomore next year and
still hoping that Ill be able to graduate on time.

The Supreme Commander of The Order of the Knights of Rizal visits President
Ikeda in Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture
President Ikeda welcomed Mr. Quiambao, the former Supreme Commander of
the Order of the Knights of Rizal and his party in Chubu International Women Center,
Aichi, on November 14, 1998. President Ikeda wholeheartedly praised them for their
efforts in fostering the youth and at the same time stressing the essence of the Knights
of Rizal motto, The power of the heart is indestructible. In response, Mr. Quiambao
praised President Ikeda for spreading the philosophy of value creation throughout the
globe and described him as a cosmopolitan and a universal man who enthusiastically
spreads the spirit of Dr. Jose Rizal.

Death of Mr. Yao Shiong Shio

The founding Chair of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Yao Shiong Shio passed away
on November 14, 1998. Mr. Yao was one of the original members of the Board of
Trustees when Sakya was registered with the SEC. In all the years that he was Chair of
the Board of Trustees, Mr. Yao showed his genuine concern and love for Sakya. He
generously gave of himself and was always looking after the welfare of the school. He
would always be remembered with fondness and love.

Synopsis/Conclusion/Reflection/Reaction/Realization

November 14, 1998 the day when I was born. The day that a great happiness
marks my parents face, when a blessing has come to their life. The day that the former
supreme commander of the Order of the Knights of Rizal visits President Ikeda of the
Nagoya City, Aichi to spread the spirit of Rizal. It is also the day, when the destructive
storm Chip devastate Vietnam and enlisted 17 death of people. And that date also
commemorates the death of Mr. Yao Shiong Shio, founding Chair of the Board of
Trustees of Sakya.
As of the present times, last months of every year November and December, is
the time to remember and honor the death of our National Hero. We also reminisce his
hardships for the sake of this countrys freedom and his spirit for being nationalistic. He
was still recognized, but unlike before, Rizal believers werent that controversial and no
visitations were conducted and publicized.
This part of the year was also the rainy season. Like storm Chip, there are strong
typhoons, cyclones and hurricanes in this season and they are really destructive. Unlike
the storms before, the calamities nowadays is a way too strong and bring a wide
destruction and loss of lives due to the climate change.
The death of Mr. Yao Shiong Shio as the founding Chair of the Board of Trustees
of Sakya were not that rare today because there are many listed cases of deaths every
day.
From what stated above, I have realized that birthday was not the only one event
to be celebrated that day. I was a bit surprised because there are those events that
matched in my birthday and some are that important.
We should allow ourselves to know more about the date of our birth for us to be
aware from the celebrations we are doing. And we will also know the events we should

celebrate that day because some people around us are celebrating the despairs of their
life while we celebrate our greatness.
