Exchange Students
participate in AFS Camp
by Jui Wittawat
Three grade 10 students from MUIDS attended the AFS
Preparation camp at Sri u-thong grand hotel in
Suphanburi province on the 28th of April to 1st of
May. Being an exchange student is not an easy task.
Its claimed to be challenging instead as students
spend a year of their lives life studying abroad.
This camp truly helped the AFS applicants get
prepared. This camp is hosted by the alumni and
seniors which focused on all preparation needed. It
taught students about the information of the States,
and elaborated American culture to prevent cultural
shock. Furthermore, they provided lots of activities
for the participants such as survival language,
cultural knowledge, icebreakers, talent show and much
more. The participants also learned about
technological uses on how accessing websites can
cause them in trouble. Basically, they taught the
future exchange students what to do and what not to
do. Overall, it was such a memorable camp as the
participants became a part of AFS family from now on.
