    laterandfalloffit.

    Juvenalsbachelorlifeandhowhewasoneofthemostsoughtafterbachelor.ThetextstatesAtthe
    ageof28,Dr.JuvenalUrbinohasbeenthemostdesirableofbachelors.Hehadreturnedfromalong
    stayinParis,wherehehadcompletedadvancedstudiesinmedicineandsurgery,andfromthetimehe

    withthecharactersinthenovel.Forexample,theflashbacksinthisnovelallowthereadertogetmore
    expositiononeachcharacter.Alsothewriter'stoolboxalsoallowsthereadertounderstandthedeeper
    meaningofthetextthroughsymbolismandforeshadowing.
