ABSTRACT

Low back pain (LBP) is the complaint of pain, muscle tension, stiffness in the
waist area with or without accompanied the spread of pain to the legs. Factors
that can affect the LBP is age, sports, body mass index, smoking, abnormalities of
the spine. Also, job duration, work time, work load, position not ergonomic, type
of work. The research to know corellation duration of driving and work period
with degrees of LBP on bus driver PT.City Trans Utama. Research method is
analytical method with cross sectional design using questionnaire modified ODQ
and interviews. Place research at PT.City Trans Utama on January 2016 with
sample 65 people were taken by the method of simple random sampling. The
analyze by Chi Square test and exact Fisher test. The result is no corellation
between duration of driving with degrees of LBP (p=0,861) and there were no
corellation between working period with degrees of LBP (p=0,679 and
RP=1,333). Drivers who have LBP mild degrees 40 people (61,5%) and LBP
degrees 2 people (3,1%). Drivers with driving duration 5 hours have moderate
degrees of LBP were 2 people (5,1%) and mild degrees of LBP were 37 people
(94,9%),driving duration <5 hours have mild degrees of LBP were 3 people
(100%). Working period 5 years have moderate degrees of LBP 1 person (4,2%)
and mild degrees of LBP were 23 (95,8%).Work period <5 years have LBP
degrees were 1 people (5,6%),mild degrees of LBP 17 people (94,4%).
