Pollution has a large effect on what is called the ozone layer.

The
ozone layer is a hole in theatmosphere over the Antarctic which is open
because of the release of man made chemicals in the air. They say it
may close this century (Before 3000) but other scientists say that
problems such as global warming may slow it down.
Global Warming global warming is
happening as you read this. Global
warming is the result of pollution. Some
of the problems it may cause include
earlier seasons where the summers are
getting hotter and the winters colder.
The icebergs will melt which means
the sea level rising. It is a climate
change and the opposite is GLOBAL
COOLING this is when it gets a lot colder. In the past global cooling
caused the ICE AGES where everything was frozen.
By taking a look through and reading what
Dan and hisfriends have to say you can
see how great nature is. Also you will see
what problems the environment faces
everyday and how we can help.
Find out what amazing plants and
animals live in the rainforest
See how the water cycle works and
discover what energy we use and create
Even at a young age you too can make
changes that will help save the
environment and make it a better place to
live in. It only takes small changes to
make big differences.

Natural resources are all the things on Earth that support life. Plants,
animals, air, and water are natural resources.
Natural resources are also things that people use to make life easier.
Your life is easier because you can ride in a bus powered by gasoline.
You can cook your dinner in a microwave oven powered by electricity.
People use natural resources to make gasoline and electricity. People
use many natural resources to make their lives easier.
There are different kinds of natural resources. Some natural resources
are renewable, and some resources are non-renewable. Renewable
resources can be replaced. Plants are renewable resources. Plants
might get cut down, but they can grow back. Animals are renewable
resources. They can reproduce. Solar energy is a renewable resource.
Solar energy comes from the Sun. No matter how much solar energy
you use, there will always be more. Wind, water, and soil are also
renewable resources.
Non-renewable resources cannot be replaced easily. Fossil fuels are
non-renewable resources. Coal, oil, and natural gas are fossil fuels.
Fossil fuels come from plants and animals that died millions of years
ago. We are using up fossil fuels much faster than Earth can replace
them. Ores come from rocks that formed millions of years ago. We use
ores to make metals. Ores cannot be replaced.
Long ago, people did not even have to think about conservation. There
were very few people. Then, people learned to use natural resources.
They learned that using wood, ores, and other natural resources could
make their lives easier. People began to live longer. The number of
people living on Earth grew and grew.
Today, billions of people live on Earth. All these people use more and
more natural resources. People are using up fossil fuels and other
natural resources faster than the planet can replace them. People cut
down forests and destroy the homes of many plants and animals.
Conservationists look for ways to save natural resources.

ENERGY SAVING TIPS

TIPS FOR KIDS

Saving energy is one of the best ways to conserve natural resources.

You can help your family become more energy efficient.

Five Easy Ways to Save Energy:

Turn off lights, computers, TV's and other electrical stuff when you
aren't using it.
Replace regular light bulbs with energy -saving Compact Fluorescent
Light Bulbs (CFLs).
Don't leave the refrigerator door open. Cold air escapes and
this wastes a lot of electricity.
Taking a short shower instead of a long bath can help save energy.
Plant a tree. Trees create shade around your house and help keep it
cool.

Short Story for Kids with moral lesson to save tree

Once upon a time, there was a beautiful forest. There lived two trees,
named Chintu and Pintu, who were brothers. Chintu and Pintu had
many friends like the rabbit andhis brothers, the group of monkeys, the
family of birds, the Bunky bear and the wise old wolf.
One day, all the friends were chatting. Suddenly Pintu saw a
WOODCUTTER coming toward the forest. Pintu said Hey look a
WOODCUTTER is coming towards the forest! Run! Run!chintu said to
the animals. But no one ran. They said You give us food, shelter, you
give us fresh air to breathe. How can we leave you in danger and go?
Chintu and Pintu thanked them.OK you all hide behind us said the
two brother trees. So the monkeys and the birds hid inside the leaves
of the tree and the other animals hid behind the tree.
Woodcutter was very confused because there were many trees to cut.
Suddenly he saw Chintu and Pintu, the huge trees. He said Be ready
to be cut you trees. The wise old wolf had already told his plan to
animals. When the woodcutter came near the trees, the group of
monkeys jumped on him and started imitating him, then the family of
birds started pecking him, then the rabbit and his brothers started
jumping around him and the Bunkey bear started roaring.
When all animals were busy at their work, the wise old wolf ran to
the lion king. The wise old wolf told the king what he had to do. So they
ran to where all the animals were. The king roared and the woodcutter
ran for his life. Chintu and Pintu said thank you.
Later the woodcutter thought I never thought that trees give animals
so many things like food, shelter etc and decided not to cut trees.
Friends this a message to not cut but plant more trees because there is
less forest on our land and it is becoming less and less only. So please
save forest.

Moral of the Story: Save Tree, Save Forest, Think for the Nature.
