Analyze Learners:
This lesson is prepared for a grade two class, with students ages 7 to 8 years. There are twenty
five (25) students in the class, thirteen (13) boys and twelve (12) girls. Most of the students in the
class are tactile learners, they learn best doing hands-on activities and also

The students will be able to state at least three types of land transportation after watching
the animated video on land transportation.

Utilize Media and Materials:
The teacher will watch the video before it is played in class for the students, to ensure that the
content is age appropriate and also to ensure that the audio and visual of the video is clear.
Teacher will also check with the lab technician in the school lab to make certain that the
computers, smart board, internet and speakers are working properly. The teacher will also
arrange the room in such a way that all will be able to view the smart board comfortably.
Students will be informed of the topic that they will be learning about. Teacher will let students
watch the video about land transportation. Teacher and students will then discuss the video that
they have just watched. Teacher will ask questions like: What was the video about? What did you
hear or see? Students will state at least three types of land transportation from the video they
have watched. Students will spell whatever type of land transportation they called and write it on
the board for the rest of the class to call and spell. Students will also name other types of land
transportation that were not mentioned in the video and the teacher will write it on the board for
the students to spell.
Require LearnerParticipation

Students will be required to watch the animated video about land transportation. Teacher
will ask students questions from the video they have watched. Teacher and students will
have a class discussion about land transportation, the types of land transportation and its
importance. They will listen to each others explanation as well as the teachers.
Students will work in pairs to do the web quest.
Students will be allowed to do the interactive power point as a class. However, each
student will have access to a computer for themselves. Teacher and students will read the
questions and responses together. Students will answer each question after the responses
have been read.
Teacher will give students a worksheet on land transportation to assess what they have
learnt. Students will work on this worksheet individually.
