16th-CENTURY EUROPE?

Introduction

I
n times that England were indisputable internationally. They were torn by a

series of civil wars, a place of worship and religion were segregated, and England itself
began to establish political control over North America.
From 1455 to 1487 was the WAr of Roses which is a series of wars to gain control
over the throne of England, The late 15th century was time the two dynasties: Yorkists
and Lancastrians. On October.30, 1485 a new dynasty began when Henry Tudor was
crowned King Henry VII and in 1486 Henry married Elizabeth of York fusing York and
Lancaster. The battle of Bosworth that had eneded in 1485 and HEnry attained the
throne. Yorkist were reluctant to obtain the marriage and made an effort to form a
rebellion in 1487. Lambert Simnel attemped to be put on the throne. Yorks formed an
army but were then crsuhed. Lambert was captured and was threatened will death
consquences but Henry obeied him to work in the royal kitchens. England invaded French
but quickly made peace, French king agreed to rightfully give money to the English, and

not to reinforce false rulers. Wars were adding up and Henry wasn;t the man who spent
money excessively. Two more rebellions arose in 1497, the West Country were pounded
by the Blackheath rebellion. WAebeck was later excuted in 1499.
Emerging the House of Yorks and Lancaster, banning private armies by the
barons, and stengthened goverment by creating the Court of Star Chamber. Henry VII
elminated baron priavte armies beucase he was wrried htey would use there army
against him. The colony was mostly peasant and middle-class, English middle class
quickly devolped, along did there importance within society. Overseas trade began to
flourish about this time.
Then came Aruther and Henry VIII sons of Henry VII. Henry VIII had

the separation between the Catholic Church and English Church were taking action. Pope
did not legalize the divorce linking Henry VIII and Catherine of Aragon, this led the king to
become enraged because not only was the Pope controlling him politically, they were
controlling his personal life too. Henry called a congregation of the English Parliament
and then declared the segregation of the English Church and Catholic Church.
People of England began to grow skeptic concerning the behaviour of the Catholic
Church. Christianity and the Catholic Church were known as two divided groups: Catholic
and Protestant. Protestants were ordinary people scattered all across Europe who
weren't happy about paying such high taxes and corruption of the Catholic Church.
Protestants were those who had seeked an entire life with a new Christian Church.
Reformers criticized the Church's policies, but there teaching were left untouched. Martin
Luther visited the Rome Church headquarters and was appalled of the dishonesty he
spotted. Luther then wrote the Ninety-Five Theses which was rapidly disturbed
throughout all of Wittenberg. Martin knew serious consequences could put him at harm
but he did this because the Bible states fatih was all needed for a person to be saved,
God was forgiving, you didnt have to give money to the Pope or obey the priests.
