The concept of job sharing came across in late
19th century.
Although the concept didnt proliferate in the
1970s, it did become more prevalent in 2000s. It
was a widely used solution tailored for working
mothers.
Due to the manifold advantages it has to offer,
the practice instantly caught up with the different
firms and became a sleeper hit.

Job sharing can help augment the


social and economic fabric of India
Social unacceptance for females working in night
shifts; job sharing can help them be a part of the
workforce which functions 24*7
With the reduction in number of hours of work, the
overall efficiency would go up; leading to an
increase in productivity
The island model of job sharing can help utilize
the potential of unskilled labour in collaboration
