Ensure your eligibility (educational qualification, Age, Experience, etc.) and other
requirements for admission as given in this booklet. Rajasthan University of Health
Sciences invites application for admission to Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing (2 year Duration)
Course to Government College of Nursing, Jaipur (100% of the sanctioned seats ),
Government self-financed (100% of the sanctioned seats ) and Private Nursing Colleges
(only 50% of the sanctioned seats) affiliated to Rajasthan University of Health Sciences,
Jaipur for the session 2016-2017.

APPLICATION FORM FEE

All candidates have to pay non refundable on-line application form fee of Rs.
1500/- ( Rs. 750/- for SC/ST and PH category candidates) + Rs. 10/- for e-Mitra
service charges at any e-Mitra/CSC Network authorized by the Government of
Rajasthan or using http://emitra.gov.in/ .
The on-line application form fee is non-refundable, non-transferable and

non-adjustable. Any plea in this matter will not be entertained.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION

(A)

Eligibility criteria for Non-Service Candidates

Candidate must fulfill the criteria for eligibility as listed below
1. Should have passed the Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or
Intermediate or 10 +2 or an equivalent examination recognized by the
University.
2. Should have obtained a Diploma in General nursing before the
implementation of new integrated course and should be registered as
Registered Nurse and midwife with their respective State Nursing Council.
3. Should have obtained a Diploma in general nursing and Midwifery after the
implementation of the new integrated course and registered as Registered Nurse
and midwife with their respective State Nursing Council

4. The candidate should have undergone GNM with institution which is

recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
5. A candidate shall be medically fit.
(B)

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR IN-SERVICE CANDIDATES (RAJASTHAN

STATE GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES)
In addition to the eligibility criteria prescribed for non-service candidates, the inservice candidate must also fulfill the eligibility criteria as listed below:
1. The Candidates should be in service of Government of Rajasthan.
2. He/she should have completed at least two years of continuous service after
regular appointment by the Government of Rajasthan. The Candidate would
be required to submit a certificate to the above effect duly signed by the
Director, Medical & health Services. Government of Rajasthan , Jaipur

NOTE :
1.

The certificate submitted by the In-Service Candidates should clearly indicate

that the person concerned is serving the Government of Rajasthan for at least 2
years, after regular selection failing which the application form will be considered as
non service category candidate. Do not add/ alter in the prescribed certificate
proforma.

2.

Application form of govt. in service candidate is required to be sent through

the Director of Medical and Health Services, Government of Rajasthan Jaipur.

The candidate should sent hard copy (print copy) of the filled online application
form to the Registrar RUHS along with the experience certificate (upto stipulated
last date 27.07.2015).
3.

AGE
There is no age limit for the admission to post basic B.Sc. Nursing Session 2016-17.

4.

RESERVATION
The reservation of seats will be made subject to statutory provisions enacted by
State of Rajasthan.
(a) The percentage of female candidates shall not be less than 50% of the total

seats in all categories. (As per Ordinances Related to Post Basic B.Sc.
Nursing- 0.299-PB-1)
(b) 16%, 12%, 21% and 5% of total seats will be reserved for natural born

candidates of SC, ST, OBC and SBC respectively as notified in the

presidential order for the state of Rajasthan Govt. orders. (0.299-PB-5)
(c) 3% seats will be reserved for physically Handicapped on Horizontal basis in their
respective categories. (0.299-PB-6)

For claiming reservation and relaxation under Disabled category

3% seats of the annual sanctioned intake capacity shall be filled up by
candidates with locomotory disability of lower limbs from 50% to 70%.

Provided that in case any seat in this 3% quota remains unfilled on

account of unavailability of candidates with locomotory disability of lower
limbs from 50% to 70% then any such unfilled seat in this 3% quota shall
be filled up by persons with locomotory disability of lower limbs from 40%
to 50% before they are included in the annual sanctioned seat for general
category candidates.

(d) Any order given by Govt. Of Rajasthan from time to time regarding

reservation will be followed at the time of counseling.

SEATS FOR THE SESSION 2016-17
In the Government College 100% seats (of the intake sanctioned) shall be filled through
RUHS Session 2016-17 only for in service candidates of State Government of
Rajasthan.
In Private Nursing Colleges only 50% seats (of the intake sanctioned) shall be filled
through RUHS Session 2016-17.

FEE STRUCTURE
The candidates are required to pay the prescribed fee for the course. The fee once
deposited by the candidate for admission will not be refunded in any case.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE
Selection of the candidate will be made strictly on the basis of marks obtained in
entrance examination 2016-17 with 1% bonus marks on completion of every 2 years of
nursing services under Rajasthan State Government on the last date of submitting of
application i.e. 04/07/2016 (Monday).
Bonus marks will not be awarded in fractions ( in service candidate has to produce no
objection certificate or copy of relieving orders from the state Govt.. or employer at the
time of joining the course) no candidate will be allowed to serve in any other institute
during the course of study (0.299-PB-4)
ENTRANCE EXAMINATIONS
A.

ADMISSION TEST
The entrance examination will be held on 17/07/2016, (Sunday) at Jaipur only.
The computer based admission test will be conducted on-line (at the
examination center) at Jaipur only. The details of the admission test will be
available at RUHS website. Please refer to RUHS website regularly for latest
update.

(a) The entrance examination for seeking admission in Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing shall
be on the standard of GNM course or equivalent.
(b) There shall be one paper of 2 hrs duration containing 120 multiple choice questions
(c) Medium of instruction English and Hindi for entrance examination if any discrepancy
is there the English Version get Priority.
(d)

The allotments of Centre, Roll Nos., and seating arrangement will be at the
discretion of the Rajasthan University of Health Sciences Jaipur.

(e)

The candidate is expected to take his/her seat atleast Two Hours before
commencement of the examination. Candidate coming after 15 minutes of the
commencement of the examination will not be permitted to appear in the
examination.

(f)

Candidate will be required to produce Admit Card before he/she is allowed to

enter the examination centre.

(g)

No Candidate will be allowed to carry any text material written or printed, bits of
paper or any other material except the admission card inside the hall.

Cellular/Mobile Phone/Pager/Calculator or any other electronic devices will

not be permitted in the examination hall.

(h)

The details relating to conduct of the examination (Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing
Entrance 2016-17) shall be available at the RUHS website in due course.

(i)

In addition to provisions laid down in Ordinance 152 to deal with cases of unfair
means during the examination by the University, such candidates will also be
dealt with additionally in pursuance of the Rajasthan Public Examination
(Prevention of Unfair means) Act, 1992.

(j)

The University shall arrange for videoography/photography of individual

candidate for identification of the candidate. The candidates are required to keep
their head in upright position and face the camera during this process so that
their identity could be clearly established.

(k)

In order to prevent impersonation, left thumb impression shall also be obtained

on a biometric machine during the conduct of examination. In case left thumb
impression could not be registered on the machine due to injury or some other
reason, right thumb impression or impression of any finger, in case other thumb
is also injured, shall be registered on the machine.

(j)

No candidate will be allowed to go outside the examination hall

till the completion of the examination.

(m)

There will not be any Negative Marking.

(n)

The Jurisdiction of the court cases will be at Jaipur

(o)

The appearance in the admission test will not confer any right upon the candidate
to be admitted to the course.

(p)

Each question shall have four options to answer, out of which only one shall be
correct. (+1) mark shall be awarded for each correct answer, (0) mark for an
incorrect answer or un-attempted questions. There shall be no negative marking.

Note :
1. The Admission Test shall be held at Jaipur at examination center to be notified on
RUHS website. All candidates are required to appear in the admission test at their
own expenses. No TA/DA will be paid the purpose.
2. Admit card with relevant instructions shall not be sent by post and shall be
available for downloading at the RUHS website.
3. Grievances , if any , regarding ambiguities of the question paper have to be
communicated to office of the convener at RUHS, (Entrance Cell) Jaipur next day of
the Examination up to 5.00 PM

The allotment of college shall be made by computer software by strictly following

the order of merit in the entrance examination with bonus marks Seats available
in each college and the priority of choice/option of the college filled in by the
candidate in the on-line application form.
1. The vacancies arising due to not joining of the candidates within the
stipulated time shall be filled by candidates from the merit list in the entrance
examination at the earliest.
2. An amount of Rs. 10000/- need to be deposited by bank challan of Oriental
Bank of commerce at any branch after declaration of entrance examination
result which will be adjusted in the tution fees of the academic session 201617 for private college only.
3. In case of the tie position between two or more than two Candidates
selection shall be made In following order (a) Numbers of attempts for
passing general Nursing Examination (less attempt get preference, (b) Date
of Birth of the candidate, older will get preference (c) Percentage of marks
obtained at the Higher sec. Or Sr. secondary examination respectively be
considered(0.299-PB-8)
After allotment of college, candidates will be informed about their allotment at RUHS
website Candidate is required to take a printout of the allotment letter using
candidate login option and report at the allotted college.

The non-viewing of the RUHS website about allotment information by the

candidate shall not be accepted as ground for non- reporting at the allotted
college on the scheduled time and date. The candidates allotment will stand
automatically if he /she do not report IN PERSON the allotted college as per
notified schedule.
NOTE:
If any stage, it is found that a non eligible candidate could get admission in a course then the
admission of such candidate will be cancelled on such detection. A legal action shall be
initiated against such candidates

REPORTING AT ALLOTTED COLLEGE AND DEPOSITING OF FEES & OTHER

DOCUMENT
At the time of reporting at the allotted college, the candidate will have to carry printout of
the allotment letter. The candidate is required to deposit prescribed free along with
original and one set of print copy of online application form along with attested
photocopies of requisite documents (duly completed)
The in-service candidate shall have to submit copy of the relieving order from the
employer.

The colleges shall be provided the list of candidates allotted. The colleges shall verify
the credentials of reporting candidates as per this list and check the documents and
other required certificates with originals.
The admissions shall be treated as provisional subject to the final decision of any
pending case(s ) in any court of law, if applicable to these admissions. Further, The
provisional status of admission shall stand cleared only after enrolment by the RUHS.
The decision of the admission board shall be final and binding to all.
All the judgments relevant to these admissions, passed by any Honble court of
justice as well as rules existing at the time of making admission will be applicable on
these admission and the candidates will have to abide compulsorily with such
judgments, rules and changes. The Jurisdiction of Court Case will be at Jaipur.
