1. Explicacin del proyecto.

Trabajo como maestro en el colegio pblico bilinge Los Arvacos situado
en la ciudad de Arvalo en vila. Comenzamos este proyecto a raz de un
curso que hice en el CFPI (Centro de Formacin de Profesores de Idiomas) de
Valladolid, en el que pasamos un da de desarrollo profesional, encaminado a
realizar una actividad en los centros en conmemoracin del 400 aniversario de
la muerte de Shakespeare y Cervantes.
Desde los distintos organismos e instituciones educativas se est haciendo
lo posible para dar un impulso a la memoria de estos grandes autores y, como
no poda ser de otra manera, los centros educativos colaboramos en esta
difusin. En el curso de sexto de primaria precisamente hemos trabajado el
tema de la Edad Moderna en el tercer trimestre, por lo que me decid a realizar
una actividad encaminada a que los nios trabajaran estos autores de la poca.
Tambin me ayud recordar una experiencia pasada que tuve con marionetas
en un centro en EEUU y me propuse realizar un Proyecto Educativo en el que
los alumnos trabajaran con personajes de las obras de Cervantes y
Shakespeare.
Finalmente centramos el Proyecto para las asignaturas de SOCIAL
SCIENCE y ARTS AND CRAFTS (Ambas bilinges) que consisti en que cada
alumno creara una MARIONETA de un personaje del LIBRO DON QUIJOTE
DE LA MANCHA (Miguel de Cervantes) y de la obra teatral ROMEO Y
JULIETA (William Shakespeare).
Para ello elaboramos la marioneta de la siguiente forma con estas
instrucciones:
1. Cogemos una bola de Poliespan y le dibujamos una cara.
2. Le aadimos el pelo (lana u otro material)
3. Le ponemos un palo para sujetarlo.
4. Le ponemos un trozo de tela que ser la ropa para que cubra nuestra
mano que sostiene el palo que sujeta la cabeza de la marioneta.

EJEMPLO DE CMO PINTAR LA CARA

Se explic a los alumnos en clase el procedimiento. La marioneta tena
que venir acompaada de un texto breve explicando quin es el personaje
elegido escrito en el idioma INGLS. (Mximo medio folio). El trabajo de los
nios y de las familias fue espectacular y se cuid mucho la presentacin de
las marionetas.
Organizamos las clases de 6 del centro con 2 grupos de marionetas; 1
para la obra de Don Quijote y otro para Romeo y Julieta, por lo tanto con 6A y
6B juntos se formaron 4 grupos en total. En la clase de 6B al ser una clase
ms numerosa formamos otros dos grupos con otros personajes relevantes de
la Edad Moderna, tambin con sus propios dilogos.
El trabajo era individual pero para la representacin los alumnos se tenan
que coordinar en parejas o pequeos grupos para preparar una pequea obra
teatral. En este apartado se produjo una explosin de creatividad por parte de
los nios al pensar por s mismos los dilogos de la representacin y al tratarse
de una elaboracin personal los alumnos se sintieron muy motivados.

Los alumnos realizaron varios ensayos y al final una breve representacin

en clase con las marionetas dentro de la clase de 6B.

2. Ensayos PUPPET SHOW

Dedicamos varias sesiones de plstica y alguna de clase de Sociales para
preparar dilogos y el escenario de las marionetas.
La elaboracin del escenario se ha elaborado en el colegio por parte del
profesor y alumnos a partir de estos materiales:

A partir de mayo y siempre en la hora de plstica hicimos LOS

ENSAYOS correspondientes:
A. Cada alumno con su marioneta hizo la descripcin individual de su
personaje en INGLS (El medio folio).
B. ENSAYAMOS los dilogos de los grupos formados.

3. La competencia lingstica en Ingls

El proyecto lingstico del CEIP Los Arvacos se concreta en un currculo
bilinge en espaol-ingls a travs de una propuesta curricular con los
contenidos de las materias de Natural Science (Ciencias Naturales), Social
Science (Ciencias Sociales) y Arts and Crafts (Plstica) completamente en
ingls en los niveles de 6 de primaria. Por tanto, todas las instrucciones a la
hora de desarrollar el Proyecto se han realizado en ingls, con el objetivo de
conseguir mejorar sus destrezas comunicativas, sobre todo, a travs de la
repeticin de los dilogos.
El trabajo de la competencia lingstica en lengua extranjera es parte
inherente de las asignaturas con metodologa AICLE CLIL (APRENDIZAJE
INTEGRADO DE CONTENIDOS Y LENGUA CONTENT LANGUAGE
INTEGRATED LEARNING) y en este caso los contenidos trabajados
pertenecientes a la EDAD MODERNA son en concreto los personajes
histricos mencionados. Al elaborar los dilogos por parte de los estudiantes y
practicar de manera rigurosa los textos y focalizando la atencin en la
pronunciacin se puede apreciar la mejora de manera notable de los alumnos
desde que comenzaron los ensayos, hasta los vdeos finales de la
representacin a modo de ensayo de la obra teatral con las marionetas (Ver
enlaces ms abajo).
Para trabajar la pronunciacin los alumnos realizaban la actuacin en
clase sentados en sus sitios y el profesor correga los fallos encontrados, para
repetirlo correctamente. Tambin en los ensayos con marionetas en clase se
les correga. Adems nuestro auxiliar de conversacin, Mr. Goldie (Gregory
Goldie), colabor en esta labor, as como tambin se prest a realizar una serie
de grabaciones junto con Mr. Blokker (Ramn Herranz Blokker), que consistan
en interpretar los dilogos para posteriormente enviar las grabaciones a travs
de la plataforma educativa del centro a los alumnos para que pudieran practicar
sus prrafos correpondientes en sus casas. (ver enlaces de los audios en el
apartado 8).

Adems los alumnos elaboraron una cajita de soporte para las

marionetas y se expusieron en el pasillo de 5 y 6 de primaria con una
explicacin de medio folio de cada personaje a modo de display para el resto
de alumnos del colegio.

6A ROMEO AND JULIET

Narrator (Yune): Im Shakespeare, the author of Romeo and

Juliet.
I was born in April 1564 in the U.K
I wrote poems like Venus and Avon
Narrator- In the beautiful city of Vienna, where we place our
story, there were two families dignified and powerful. They were
of the same tradition and ancestry, but were also driven by old
grudges, which triggered constant arguments.
Mother of Romeo- My son, wake up
Romeo- Im coming mum.
Narrator- When they awoke, Romeo and his father went to do
business as usual, walking, getting food, etc After a while
Romeo became separated from his father.
Father of Romeo- Romeo son, can you go see what fruits are out
there?
Narrator- Romeo then found a castle where the family of Juliet
lived. In a window, appeared the young and beautiful Juliet.
Romeo- Hello

Narrator As soon as Juliets parents heard the voice of Romeo,

they came to the scene. Romeos father also appeared and
began to argue with Juliets family. After a few months, Romeo
and Juliet started to love each other.

NarratorThey began to talk for a long time, but one day Juliet
asked a servant to give her a potion in order to appear dead. This
is because their parents didnt want Romeo and Juliet to be
together. A priest told Romeo that his beloved Juliet was dead.
When Romeo learned of this he then took the poison. When
Juliet awoke and saw Romeo on the ground, she kissed him, but
she herself wasnt poisoned by the lips of Romeo. So she decided
to kill herself with his sword. They died together. If they could
not to be together in life, then they would be together in death.

Mancha. He read a lot and never ate and became crazy. Then he decided
to be a gentleman Knight.
Diego: I am Don Quijote de la Mancha, a crazy gentleman and dreamer.

(LARA) This is the story of people in love, whose families were enemies. This
however is not the real story, this is my new story of Romeo and Juliet:
Romeo: Who is that beautiful girl?
Juliet: Im Juliet. I am new in this beautiful village.
Romeo: Im Romeo. Ohh! I will show you the village.
Romeo and Juliet strolled around all of the village; after that Romeo and Juliet
became very good friends. They began seeing each other every day. Now they are
in the mountains.
Juliet: Ohhh! Romeo you are my best friend.
But Juliet slipped and stopped just at the edge of the cliff she was scared.
Juliet: Ahhhhhhh! I fell heeelp!
Juliet: Ohhh! It has only been a dream.
Romeo heard Juliet shout and he went to help Juliet.
Romeo: Juliet, are you okay?
Juliet: Yes; I only had a nightmare.
At the next day Juliet and Romeo went to the amusement park of Madrid they saw
and rode all of the attractions.
