    Cercis canadensis (Eastern Redbud) is

    It has been routinely observed that the red-leafed Forest pansy


    cultivar of the Eastern Redbud species exhibits a far less vigorous
    growth rate than its generic green-leafed counterpart. This experiment
    will attempt to analyze the photosynthetic mechanisms underlying the
    dichotomy in growth rate between the two cultivars.
