in the English Avenue
neighborhood into a
vibrant park node. This
project was prioritized in
Park Prides Proctor North
Avenue Study
as a significant
opportunity
to capture,
infiltrate, and
clean stormwater
from residential
areas before it
enters Proctor
Creek.

how a similar center will work in Atlanta

The site is also being strongly considered as the


home of a new cultural and environmental
educational center, known as the Atlanta Urban
Ecology Resource Center (AUERC). AUERC is a
collaborative effort, led by Community Improvement
Association and in partnership with Georgia Build
Up, The Conservation Fund, ECO-Action, Park Pride,
Proctor Creek Stewardship Council and West Atlanta
Watershed Alliance, to develop an environmental
education center
