The Chandrasekhar limit is a concept of astrophysics, which tells about the maxi

mum mass a white dwarf star can posses to remain stable as white dwarf.
The limit is 1.44 times the mass of the Sun, or if a white dwarf has more mass t
han this limit the white dwarf star, under the its own gravitational pressure sh
all become neutron star or black hole.
The limit is named after was named after Indian astrophysicist Subrahmanyan Chan
drasekhar,as he independently discovered and improvised the calculations.
