It has clear text informing the audience what the logo is for (Nerd
forge) and also includes a mini tagline below. The illustration
accompanied with it is a simple, line drawing so it could be easily
transferred to anything. The illustration closely links with the
name, as typically nerds wear glasses and the word forge is
related to blacksmiths who uses the hammer for smithing.
The colours are kept simple, with the use of only two colours: Dark
brown and yellow. Based on the use of a male illustration and the
name, the target audience are most likely males who fit into the
category of nerd.
The idea for this logo was to incorporate several things together:
The letter s, a swan and a heart shape. These things most likely
represents the company or brand the most, without having to
mention the brand name, which resulted into this design. The
colours used for this logo is very soft. Based on the colours and
shapes used for this logo, the target audience are most likely for
females as the colours and shapes are often associated with
femininity.

Explanation of ideas
Concept- The concept of my logos and tv show poster was to include elements of mystery and
tension in it because the genre of the tv show is crime and drama.
Purpose- The graphic designs are to promote to the audience by giving them a hint about what
the show is going to be about so they would look forward to it in the future.
Content- the images that I used were items normally found at court, or things representing the
court, such as a gavel or a balancing scale. I also used an actual court to use as the
backdrop/background so that the audience would get the hint that it is a crime show, which
would pique their interest.
Design- The colour and lighting slightly dark, but not enough to make it gloomy and dark, to
create a tense atmosphere. I chose the font to suit with the logo, which is red and it looks quite
bloody.
Vector or raster- the poster is in raster as it is image based and the logo was created in vectors.
raster is best for posters as it includes more complexity and more tones, whereas vectors are
good with flat colours which would go well with logos. The logo was also drawn which makes it
more suitable for vectors.
target audience- The target audience would be both genders from the ages of 18-35. Crime
genres are mainly aimed at a young adult audience, because theyd be more interested in
indulging into plot and mysteries.
. Logo 1 - could have some more experimentation e.g. each word in a separate tray on the
scales... also perhaps the two words could be different fonts to reflect their meaning (e.g.
disorder a messier font with perhaps some splatter-type vector symbols on it...)
2. your 2nd and 3rd logos are not really finished - i.e. you don't have the necessary evolution of
ideas - especially for the 3rd logo - LOOK at my exemplar on the weebly to remind you
LOGO 2 could do with some sketched/cross hatched tone on the gavel - and logo three should
have another 'hand-drawn' image - look at my logo 3 exemplar
