and patient needs.
Work in a variety of patient care areas that incorporate critical care, trauma, acute
medical conditions, observation and minor injuries and illness.

Keeping current on skills and evidence based care by obtaining a minimum of 10

Cross trained to work on the Stroke Unit while working in the Emergency
Department at University of Colorado Hospital.
Part of an innovative team and new program that strives to provide specialized stoke
care to the community.
Work in the field with other disciplines (CT technician, paramedic, EMT) to bring
stoke care including CT imaging, TPA, and blood pressure control to stoke victims.
Participate in research investigating the efficacy of faster TPA initiation in the field.
Received advanced stoke assessment (NIH) training.
Effectively work with other emergency responders such as the fire department and
various ambulance companies to collaborate patient care.

St. Anthonys Central, Emergency Department


03/14 to 08/14
Level I trauma center (36-bed Emergency Department- part time).
While working full-time at University of Colorado Hospital, I also held a part-time
position at St. Anthonys. I was able to embrace the similarities and differences
between Level I and Level II trauma centers and diversity in patient populations.
Provided patient care to adults and pediatric patients.
Experienced varied complexity in patient cases that were transferred from the
mountain clinics and hospitals to St. Anthonys by Flight for Life.
Tift Regional Medical Center, Emergency Department
01/11 to 07/12
Regional referral hospital (19-bed Emergency Department- full time).
Worked as part of the medical team to providing quality care to a variety of patients
including adult and pediatric populations.
Provided complete patient care with limited resources. Assumed multiple roles
including EKG, phlebotomy, transport, respiratory support and housekeeping in a
small hospital setting.
