KARIONG WINS SPORTS UPGRADE

A Labor candidate for Robertson Anne Charlton has committed more than $92,000 for
building improvements to the Hill Community Centre in Kariong under a Labor Government.
The money will fund in full the centres Hill Veranda Project to construct a covered area on
the northern side of the building at Kariong Oval.
Ms Charlton said the awning and concrete floor would not only benefit sporting clubs that
use the oval but extend facilities at the community centre.
The Hill Community Centre and Kariong Ovals are a vibrant space for locals and form a
key hub of the Kariong community, Ms Charlton said.
A Labor Government will deliver a little over $92,000 to build a covered area that will further
enhance the building for the community centres sporting clubs, hirers of the facility and
community groups.
The total cost of the extension is $92,447.50 for a 30m awning and accompanying concrete
slab, that will complement a structure on the entry side of the building.
I know that if Labor wins the election, I will be heading up to the Hill for a celebratory
sausage from the barbie when the veranda is built, Ms Charlton said.
