Summary:
This article discusses the importance of technological literacy .Technological literacy is
defined as the ability to use, manage, access technology. This article also indicated that in
todays society, teachers should incorporate some technology at some point in their teachings. As
a result, teachers receive training in this field. The effects of technology are determined by the
user.
To test the technological literacy of social studies teachers, an experiment was conducted.
The experiment consisted of being graded on the Technological Literacy Scale using interview
questions. Social studies teachers that taught the first and second grades were asked to take part
in the experiment. The results showed that teachers who took courses related to science,
technology and social change scored better results. The results also indicated that teachers that
utilized activities involving technical literacy increased their students understanding of
Technology.

Summary:
This article centers on a study that was conducted to measure the professional
characteristic and work environment of instructors who teach secondary social studies. This
study was used to measure educational progress of the modern era. The study included a
multitude of variables, which included results from previous studies, gender, race, and
professional credentials. The results indicated that instructors who teach social studies are mostly
white males. The study also indicates that the social studies curriculum ranks the lowest in
comparison to the other subjects.
The article also indicates that social studies field has made great progress over the years.
The National Council of Social Studies has made the major decision to work together with
Partnership for Twenty-first Century to revise the social studies curriculum. Over the last few
years, assessments have been used to measure the aptitude of instructors and students. The article
also concludes that instructors professional characteristics and values greatly impact their
classroom environment.
