IT IS FEELING VERY SAD TO SAY THAT THE NATIONAL ANIMAL OF OUR
COUNTRY IS ON THE VERGE OF EXTINCTION.
There are different breeds of tiger which are found in our
country. Among them the white ones, which are rarely found are on the verge of extinction. The main area where they are found are SUNDARBANS. NECESSITY OF TIGERS : Tigers are carnivores animal and are very useful in maintaining the food-chain of the nature, thereby helping in maintaining the balance in nature.
Reasons for Declining:
• Demand of the tiger skin. • •Demand for bones for making medicines. • •Lack of knowledge among the tribal people. • •hunting of tiger for fun. Tigers : fading away fastly : An Overview HOW W E CAN MINIMIZE THE TIGER KILLING : vGovernment has taken serious measures in this regards by starting some projects like PROJECT TIGER. v vApart from that an organisationis created called as INDIAN BOARD FOR WILDLIFE which is under our honourable PRIME- MINISTER . v vApart from that the media should be as a prime medium to literate in this regard i.e. certain programmesshould be aired in order to make people understand the natural balance. v vLaw enforcement agencies should ensure that those involved in poaching, illicit trade in wildlife and wildlife products, destruction of their habitat, and such other illegal activities are given quick and deterrent punishment. CONCLUSION : Hence its high time for people to take the PROJECT TIGER seriously and take various steps in order to save the life of TIGER.
