Beaverton Police to Conduct DUII Enforcement
for Memorial Day Weekend

Beginning Friday, May 28, 2010 through Monday, May 31, 2010, the Beaverton Police
Department will partner with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, in
conjunction with neighboring agencies, to enforce DUII violations.

In addition to the High Visibility Enforcement (HVE) DUII detail, Beaverton police officers
will also be focusing their efforts on driver safety by addressing seatbelt and speed violations.

Periodic high-intensity and sustained high-visibility enforcement efforts are proven effective
countermeasures for reducing impaired-driving and related fatalities. The Beaverton Police
Department would like to encourage everyone to drive safely and responsibly.
