CCCNJ Weekly Prayer Requests

Scripture: " 24And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good
deeds. 25Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us
encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching." (Hebrews10: 24-
25)

Weekly Theme: “ Church Retreat ”

Pray for retreat in regard to the planning, preparation, and coworkers.
1. Pray for the retreat speakers: Rev. John Currie and Rev. Charles Han and the youths’
speaker, Trip Lee.
2. Pray for the preparation of the retreat such as workshop, games, small groups, and
handbook, and the coworkers who are in charge.
3. Pray for brothers and sisters who plan to attend the retreat. Pray for those people who
are on the invitation list.
4. Pray for the Mission organizations﹕ Gospel Operation Int’l for Chinese Christian;
Missionaries﹕ Rev. John & Ann Buerer and Seminary student﹕ Ann Lee.

--- Ministry: Please pray for

1. Pastor Timothy Chen as he preaches in both Chinese and English this coming Sunday.
2. Preparations for Memorial Day Retreat, speakers Rev Currie, Rev Han, and Trip Lee.
3. All church leadership: wisdom, discernment, unity/harmony, integrity
--- Children Ministry: Please pray for
1. Fifth grade Sunday school teacher: Richard Chen. Pray that the Lord give him strength as he
plants the seeds in children’s faith.
2. All parents as they build good characters in their children, the Lord will give them wisdom and
patience.
--- People: Please pray for
1. Healing for: Paul King in China, Mauro Mordini, Janiene’s arthritis in neck/shoulder area.
2. Marcus B’s citizenship issues so that he can return to Burkina Faso for mission.
3. Pastor Andy: future job, coming to NJ July 14th
4. People attending Mem Day retreat: closer fellowship w/ others and esp. God. Some of the
college students may not normally attend church during school year but come to retreat.
5. Gene,Rosita Hsu – dad’s struggle with sinus cancer
6. Wey Wang in Kenya: 3 month missions trip (video production)
7. Stressful job situations abound: not limited to: Charles Oo, Amy Yuey, Tim Chia, Irene Tsui
8. Job searching: still quite a few ppl out of work, or wanting new job situation.

1. Political instability in many countries, Thailand, Kyrgyzstan, etc.
2. Oil spill and resulting damage to environment
