The Golden Keys to Achieving Ascension In This Lifetime

Be sure to acknowledge that you have an inner child and learn to parent it properly.
Many spiritual people get so involved with God and the spiritual realities that they
forget they have an inner child who needs to be taken care of and loved. God and the
Masters will not do this for you. This is your job. This is part of being integrated as a
person. Talk to your inner child and see that it is getting its needs met. The ideal is
to treat your inner child with firmness and love.

I remember being in my late 20's, doing a guided meditation one afternoon, when the phrase
came over the cassette tape (remember those days) which said "Now give yourself whatever your
child wanted, but did not get. Give yourself the Lionel train set, or whatever you want. Do it now."

There ensconced in the deeper states of consciousness was my first introduction to traveling the
time-line. In other words, learning to alter your past to affect your present and your future. Well,
there were plenty of "things" I wanted as a child and did not get... so, I went for it!

I listened to that tape many times over the years and it took some time, but eventually I realized
that most of what I wanted as a child was simply the opportunity to be childlike. I was able to
conjure that up in my meditations pretty easily... but it took a little more time and effort to
manifest it in this dimension.

There are people who never experienced a childlike state during their childhood, and others who
always felt carefree and filled with possibility.  I know people who had a fabulous childhood, but
haven't looked up from their adult "to-do" list in years.  I know others who are so engrossed in the
spiritual path they have gotten down right serious about it. It doesn't really matter which was the
case in your life. It doesn't matter how old you are, or what point in your life you are at. What
matters is how you treat your inner child now.

Each of us has an inner child. That never changes. Thank the Heavens that never changes! You
see, it is through the eyes of a child that you will begin to see the face of God. Or, in other words,
you will begin to know the Truth of your own Essence. It is only with the innocence, wonderment,

and enthusiasm for possibility which a child's mind lives in, that you are free and open enough to
know your own True beauty.

It is imperative that you engage in some playful activity which puts you fully in the moment.
Which means you have absolutely no attachment to the outcome. Easy to nod your head, but
think about it for a moment. You decide to take a pottery class, to be playful and creative, to get
away from the house and the demands in that environment. Once you sit down at the wheel the
first thing, the only thing you can think about, is what you will make, and making it as perfectly as
possible, as quickly as possible.

I chose this as an example because I recently lived through it and learned only that there is no
such thing as flawless pottery made by hand, and that it takes years just to get to consistent. But,
remember for a moment what a child does immediately after making the perfect mud pie. They
destroy it! Yep, they mix the mud to the perfect thickness, maybe even add some different colors
of mud. They go to your favorite set of dishes in the house and find a pie pan suited to their needs,
pack it full of mud, set it in the sun to dry - usually for days. All the while you are looking for the
pie pan. Then they free the pie from the pan, and pretend to eat a few bites. Now comes the truth
of "childlike"... they either smash it up, or sling it at a sibling creating just the right moment for
another fun activity - mud fight!

There is absolutely no attachment to that mud pie. They never even considered that it would
remain in their life for any length of time, or that anyone would consider it important beyond the
sharing of the experience in making and eating it. THIS is what is meant by "CHILDLIKE." If you
need a grown up example, consider the Buddhist Monks who spend days creating a colorful wheel
of art out of sand, only to allow it all to be swept away when they are done.

So, what does you inner child want? It is a thing, or and experience? Do you want that snazzy
bicycle you never received, or do you yearn for time to run across a field and catch butterflies?
Whatever it is, do it! Do it soon, and do it often. Why? Because if you follow the desire backward
to its roots you will discover there is a FEELING you want to experience. It isn't about a thing or
and activity. It is the feeling your inner most child yearns for. Trust that child, because it will lead
you to that feeling, and that feeling will lead you to the Truth.

In that feeling you will see yourself in a new Light. You will be embraced by the Love of Creation.
You will begin to know the magnificence of your Spirit. And, God / Great Spirit - whatever name
you have for the Source of All - will reach out and touch your hand. Great Spirit will fill your heart
with a peace that is beyond your present understanding. All because you took good care of , and
trusted, the child within.

One little reminder - this is not a one time thing. Just as your body needs daily nourishment, so
too, your inner child needs to be heard and expressed. It needn't be chore. In holding the hand of
that child, walking with it through whatever it wishes to experience, it will guide you to the
greatest feeling of your life.
