Scope and Objectives International Conference on Business Cases

A business case is essentially a description of an actual situation or an event involving issues, problems, conflicts requiring a resolution or decision
making through strategies, skills, knowledge or reengineered business processes. A well developed case is typically a record of business issues,
historical and clinical study of a situation which gets evolved in an organization because of the change dynamics in external or internal environment.
It brings out the facts, information, opinions and prejudices held by individuals because of varied perspectives. The case holds an important place in
the pedagogy of management education. It simulates actual business process in a class room setting, thus enabling students an active and
participative learning. Students get involved and engaged feeling the tense pressures in decision making. The case discussion creates a
competition amongst students preparing them for real life situations confronting them in near future.

IME takes an initiative to organize an international conference on business cases. It will provide a platform for academicians, practicing managers,
research scholars, and students of management to come together on a single platform to share experiences, interact, discuss and exchange views.

Some of the very distinguished academicians, known globally and who have contributed cases winning accolades have kindly agreed to deliver
Key Note Addresses (see Page 4 of this brochure) and present cases.

IME invites you to register, contribute business cases and participate in the conference. As the stress is on quality and to provide a fair opportunity to
the authors to present the case and lead discussion, we have decided to accept not more than 60 cases.
