facility

For:

• CAS wants to retain needed services for our aging

community
• Out-Patient Rehabilitation

• Create enough savings to reinstate the Out-Patient Rehab.

• Develop new ways of increasing revenues to answer long-

term revenue short falls (all hospitals facing this reality)

• Develop new ideas—“Think outside the box” vs. accept

the “cards we have been dealt”

CAS
Citizens for Alternative Solutions

• “Mixed feelings”

• Short-term objective:

More feet around the beds, fewer under the desks

Ruud Roeleveld

In summary
Four questions for the Board and our community:

1. Can we not do more with less, not less with less?

2. Do we want more community involvement in our

hospital?

3. Can we not have more ideas and alternative solutions

versus the status quo in operating our hospital?

4. Can we not find new ways to increase both savings and

revenues?
