Actinidia kolomikta
Variegated Kiwi Vine

A real showstopper is shown here bowering over this rustic bench just outside the Show Garden. This
is an Asian species of hardy kiwi known for its sharply variegated leaves of green and white.
Yes, Kiwis can grow in this climate (this one is hardy to -45 degrees), but not the tropical ones found
in the supermarket. Not only is the fruit delicious, but the flowers are hauntingly fragrant. We only
have to prune ours every 3 years to keep it manageable.
Whats not to like? Shade provider, tasty fruit, and fragrance to boot!
