Replacing the MaxFire Control Panel

MaxFire (S/N > 5,000)

Reasons for changing the control panel:

• Control panel has been damaged

Tools needed to change the touchpad:


• Short Philips screwdriver

Replacing the control panel:

□ Unplug the stove.


□ Remove the top screw on each side of the back panel of the stove. See Figure 1.
□ Slide the control panel forward and lift up to remove. See Figure 2.
□ Mark the two cables as per their orientation. See Figure 3.
□ Carefully unplug the touch pad from the ribbon cable (the plug is just under the
touch pad).
□ Plug the touch pad into the ribbon cable in the same orientation as the old touch
pad.
□ Install the control panel onto the stove.
□ Install the two screws on the back panel of the stove.
□ Plug the stove in.
□ Test for proper operation.
