‘THE WEEK OF JULY 11, 2010, AS BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA TRIBUTE WEEK IN THE
STATE OF MICHIGAN.
WHEREAS, The United States Senat and the Unite Sttes House of Representatives passed eselutions ia 2005
scknowledging the genocide that the Serbian forces perpetrated in Srebrenica, and al of Bost rom 199210 1995. and
WHEREAS, July 11, 2010, will commemorate the 15th anniversaty of the Srebrenica massacre in which af least
8.372 innocent Bosnisk civilians were executed and 30.000 were expelled fom their homes inthe wrst aot ia
Europe since the Holocaust: and
WHEREAS, This annivesiry raises awareness of the tag sullering of the Bosnian people and honors and
remembers those who died as result ofthe policies of ethnic cleansing and aggression; and
WHEREAS, The Congress of Noth American Bosniaks (CNAB) i the umbrella organization representing
‘Bosniaks in the United Slats nd Canada; and
WHEREAS, The state of Michigan recognizes the importance ofthis event to bring closure forthe Bosnian poople
