A North Adams man was arraigned today in Northern Berkshire District Court in North
Adams on several charges. Sixty-six-year-old DavidB. Harris of91 Marion Avenue was
charged with Possession Of Child Pornography and Dissemination Of Child Pornography. Bail
was set at $2,500 and Harris was released, and the case was continued to August 25th for a
bindover hearing. The charges resulted from a two-month investigation which culminated in the
execution of a search warrant on Sunday at Harris's home in North Adams.
Harris is currently the Head of School at the Cambridge Montessori School in
Cambridge, Massachusetts, a private school for children from preschool to 9th grade. From] 9~9
to 2000 Harris was the Headmaster of the Pine Cobble School in Williamstown, Massachusetts,
also a private school for children from preschool to 9th grade.
The investigation was conducted by State Police detectives assigned to the Berkshire
District Attorney's Office, with assistance from the Massachusetts and New York Internet
Crimes Against Children Task Forces, State Police detectives assigned to the Middlesex District
Attorney's Office and investigators assigned to the New York State Attorney General's Office.
