How to pray for the lost, or those who have gone astray

2 Cor. 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh.
4 – For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God
to the pulling down of strongholds;
5 – Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself
against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to
the obedience of Christ.

1) Casting down imaginations (Greek word logismos) Reasoning; the belief

system that controls how they think, their philosophy of life.
“According to 2 Corinthians 10:3, 4 & 5, God tells me I have weapons
strong enough to defeat the enemy. He will empower these weapons with his
miracle working power to demolish this part of the stronghold in their lives.
So in the name of Jesus, I command you to be torn down in their mind, to
free them to see the Gospel clearly. I demolish you stronghold of _____.”
(Or whatever it is that is controlling them.)

2 ) ... and every high thing (Gr. hupsoma) – Pride

“According to 2 Corinthians 10: 3, 4 & 5, I have weapons that are strong
enough in God to demolish the stronghold of pride. In the name of Jesus I
tear down the stronghold of pride in __(person’s name)___, and I say they
will bow their knee; I take authority and dominion over you and I loose them
from this root of pride. In Jesus name I demolish it.”

3 ) ... bringing into captivity every thought (Gr. noema) – schemes, plans,
devices the enemy would put in their minds
“According to 2 Corinthians 10:3, 4 & 5, I now, by the weapons that God
has given to me, and the power of the Holy Spirit being released, I take
authority over every thought you try to send to them, every reason, every
excuse and every strategy and plan that you have to keep _____ blinded to
the truth, I say no to it. I demolish it now in Jesus name. I capture that now,
& I say it will not work against them any more. I will be their shield, by
faith I stand between them and you, and I say you will not work this
successfully against them in Jesus name.”

4 ) ... obedience of Christ (Gr. hupakoe) Means to hear under; it means “I

hear this, I understand it, I choose to bring myself under this teaching, I will
obey it.”
We’re going to capture the thoughts, plans & schemes of the enemy & we’re
going to release them to hear and understand what God is really saying and
come under that.
