HUNTERSVILLE, NC:

On Thursday, August 12, 2010, at 10:31 p.m, Huntersville Police responded to a report of an
armed robbery that had occurred at the Deerhill Apartments complex PVA. Upon arrival, officers met
with the victim who reported that he had agreed to give two black male suspects a ride from the Pitt
Stop gas station to the Deerhill Apartments complex. The victim stated that he drove to the back of
the Deerhill I complex at which time the two suspects exited his car. The victim reported that one of
the suspects then brandished a pistol and demanded that he surrender all his valuables. The victim
surrendered his wallet and the two suspects fled east on foot behind the complex. A perimeter was
established and a K-9 track was conducted. Huntersville Police Criminal Investigations Division was
notified and responded to the scene to interview the victim. No injuries were sustained during the
crime. The first suspect was described as a black male; approximately 5’9” in height and “chubby.”
This suspect was last seen wearing a grey in color tank top shirt and shorts. The second suspect
was described as a black male; approximately 6’0” in height with a thin build and dark complexion.
There was no clothing description available for the second suspect. At this time, no arrests have
been made. The case is currently being investigated and more information will be made available as
leads develop.
