Gentlemen,
Here are the latest totals. You will notice that our mileage is back up to
6.34
for the Sector total. After an engineering visit this past week we had to
modify the proposed footprint to leave the flood plane and align with an
existing roadway on the Del Rio Project. Operationally this necessitated
running a proposed fence the length of the road. This also added some
landowners and during outreach we discovered a few more not identified by
USACE
during their visit.
Most landowners are reluctant to buy in until they see exactly what type of
fence they will be offered, whether or not we will offer to buy all of their
property and for how much and most are insisting upon aesthetic fence. As
for
the city of Del Rio property, the city was proposed an aesthetically
pleasing
fence as part of a previous PDT project and their cooperation will be
contingent
upon us delivering this type of fence. All have been kept in the unsure
category for this reason.
USACE realty will arrive on Monday 6/18 and unidentified owners will
hopefully
be rectified.
