EGW's Early writings pages 43-44 reveals the significance of the cunning and deceptive powers of Satan, as the conditional return of Christ pointed to His soon coming. An example of knocking at the Fox family's home at Hydesville, a community east of the city of Rochester New York, reveals the beginnings of Modern Spiritualism (Early Writings 1882, Appendix). "The vision touched on many points, including 'the mysterious knocking' near Rochester, New York. Spiritualism was emerging and various other devices of Satan to mislead the people supposedly serving the Lord" (Biological Books Volume 1 page 161. Present truth in 2010 points to more contemporary programs plaguing our cable and television networks: Ghost Hunters (SyFy Channel - The Atlantic Paranormal Society or TAPS), Ghost Adventures, Ghost Hunter's Academy, Ghost Hunters International, Supernatural, Ghost Whisperer, Paranormal State, A Haunting (Discovery Channel), and Most Haunted (Travel Channel). Undoubtedly in these final hours of earth's history, Satan is diligently and purposefully flooding the minds of human beings with false ideas regarding the human soul and spirit. The abovementioned reality shows are an attempt by satanic agents to delude the mind of the Christian Overcomer, aiming to create doubt regarding the reality of the

Scriptures. Most worrisome is that this trend is now a norm: and many of today's youth have become obsessed with this programming satanic force, labeling it as scientific nonfiction. Satan aims to control the mind and conscience and by creating a false sense of reality relating to the soul and spirit, he can divert the attention of Christians from Christ to Satan. These Ghost Hunting reality shows provide a false imprint in the human mind, impressing many to believe that the dead are able to roam the earth limitlessly. Ghost Hunters, by way of the Syfy channel, appeals to the average human who finds entertainment in thrill-seeking events, aiming to satanically sensationalize viewer's minds; captivating individuals to remain glued to their television sets for upcoming episodes. Appealing to the minds of young people, spin-offs such as: Ghost Hunter's Academy and Ghost Hunters international are emerging shows that present a focus that targets the mind of the more "inexperienced Ghost Hunters". As per varied advertisements, Ghost Hunting can be a career and therefore training to "level up" to more advanced positions is required. Again, a new Secret Society emerges, entitled "The Atlantic Paranormal Society or TAPS. Most paranormal shows tap into humanistic fears, providing false knowledge regarding the "unknown realm", as they give viewers a false sense of security about the afterlife. Suicide and Homicide is glamorized and interwoven into their satanic, energy driven plots, giving the impression that a human soul lives on eternally. Ezekiel 18:20 edifies that the spirit and soul of man is mortal and can die, destroying the false doctrine known as the "immortality of the soul. "Through the two great errors, the immortality of the soul, and Sunday sacredness, Satan will bring the people under his deceptions. While the former lays the foundation of Spiritualism, the latter creates a bond of sympathy with Rome. The Protestants of the United States will be foremost in stretching their hands across the gulf to grasp the hand of Spiritualism; they will reach over the abyss to clasp hands with the Roman power; and under the influence of this threefold union, this country will follow in the steps of Rome in trampling on the rights of conscience" The Great Controversy page 588. "As spiritualism more closely imitates the nominal Christianity of the day, it has greater power to deceive and ensnare. Satan himself is converted, after the modern order of things. He will appear in the character of an angel of light. Through the agency of spiritualism, miracles will be wrought, the sick will be healed, and many undeniable wonders will be performed. And as the spirits will profess faith in the Bible, and manifest respect for the institutions of the church, their work will be accepted as a manifestation of divine power" The Great Controversy page 588. Historically, Revelation 12:7 edifies that there was a war in heaven. 1Cor. 2:9 illustrates that heaven is beyond the imagination of fallible human minds, because God's thoughts and ways are mysterious and infallible Isa. 55:8, 9. God's language is vastly different from our language. Heavenly principles overflow with self-sacrificing love and Philippians 2:5 reminds mankind to be humble, meek and lowly, even unto death Zech. 9:9, Matt. 11:29, Rom. 5:5, 1John 4:8. This self-sacrificing principle was detested and refuted by Satan and his angels, as Satan wanted to be like the Most High. Isaiah 14:12 relates to Rev. 12:7, identifying that the war was a war of principles, as Satan exhibiting self-exaltation, caused a "falling away" from Truth: and he was consequently rejected from Heaven Rev. 12:4. Satan's principles expressed a desire to be equal to God Isa. 14:14. Lucifer's [Satan's] war with God was one of principles. Satan's governing principle

is selfishness, causing a conflict with the heavenly principles of self-sacrificing love or the Spirit of Beneficence 1John 4:8, 16, 19, The Desire of Ages page 21, Steps to Christ pages 77-80. However, the differing principles between the Eternal Love of God and Lucifer's selfishness was not manifested as a physical, combative war involving guns or swords. Simply put, Lucifer created a conflicting principle of selfishness which could not coexist with God's perfect, self-sacrificing nature 1John 4:16. This war created a division in Heaven, between angelic beings that sympathized with Satan and God's remaining two third of angels Rev. 12. "Through spiritualism, Satan appears as a benefactor of the race, healing the diseases of the people, and professing to present a new and more exalted system of religious faith; but at the same time he works as a destroyer. His temptations are leading multitudes to ruin. Intemperance dethrones reason; sensual indulgence, strife, and bloodshed follow. Satan delights in war, for it excites the worst passions of the soul and then sweeps into eternity its victims steeped in vice and blood. It is his object to incite the nations to war against one another, for he can thus divert the minds of the people from the work of preparation to stand in the day of God" The Great Controversy page 589. All humans were made in the image of God for His honor and glory Rev. 4:11. Man is the crowning act of God's creation, made in the image of the Most High-a righteous remnant will function, vindicating God's Character and Government, adding closure to the great controversy between good and evil Gen. 1:27, Rev. 14:1-5. Loud cry messengers must thus enlighten the earth, teaching the world about Christ and His gift of imputed righteousness, offered to all mankind Rev. 18:1-4, Testimonies to Ministers and Gospel Workers pages 91-92. By divine expectation, the human body must display to the universe a mind, sinless, a mouth, guileless and garments unblemished; in spite of the sinful condition and state of planet earth. God will use His church as a teaching model to the universe, revealing His "Manifold Wisdom" and "Eternal Purpose Eph. 3:10-11.
