The above dig. Shows the one pair E1-DSL modem placement. The clocking is set to be
receive from E-1,the clocking is set using DIP switch present at rear end.

DIP switch

In this setup we put 1, 3 & 8 dip is set to on.

1- clocking set to be receive from E-1
3- E-1 Framing is set to be unframed
8- Identify switch assigned when system boot

slave, and will take the configuration from master.

 LED Status given in Front of the Modem

The significance of the LED status given in front of the modem.

1. LOOP 1(1pair DSL) Led status on = signifies DSL is Sync

2. Loop 1 & Loop 2 (2 Pair DSL) Led status on = signifies DSL is Sync
3. E1/V.35 Led status SYN = Signifies Local media E-1/V-35 is UP
